On 5th December a Rededication Service took place at GH Dovener. Presided over by Reverend Hannah Lievesley of St Chad’s Parish Church and attended by Hon. Alderman Martin J Dodgson MBE who unveiled the official plaque.
The newly named Hawkswell Chapel was blessed and so named in remembrance of George Hawkswell Dovener, founder of GH Dovener & Son.
Martin Dodgson knew Martin Dovener very well, they were lifelong friends and colleagues, so it was very fitting for the occasion.
Thank you to the celebrants and local florists who also attended this very special occasion.
