Roses Delivered to Local Hospice for Yorkshire Day

Ahead of Yorkshire Day on 1 August, Helen and Clare from G H Dovener & Son delivered roses to Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds to bring a little comfort to patients, their loved ones and hospice staff.

The annual gesture has become an important tradition for the team. With Wheatfields Hospice located just five minutes from the branch, Helen and Clare wanted to mark the occasion in a meaningful way by choosing roses, inspired by Yorkshire’s iconic white rose emblem.

The delivery was warmly received, with staff expressing their gratitude for the thoughtful donation. The team hopes the gesture not only brightened the day of those at the hospice but also strengthened connections within the local community.

Reflecting on the experience, Helen and Clare said the most rewarding part was the warm welcome they received from everyone at the hospice. They are proud to continue a tradition that supports a valued local organisation and reminds people that the branch is always there to serve the community.
